1 August 2000 It's great to see this web page, i thought i would never be able to make contact my old friends. Now i have a chance. I am looking to find old friends Tim Westmore, Mario Zammit, Micheal Boot, just some of the names from that period. I have already kept in touch with Mike Truran from the day i left and i am sure he would like for all off us to get together for a old time sake. Also any teachers from the same period too... ( Mr Thompson etc....) Steve Mcgowan (E 73-76) Dsmc@btinternet.com 'Thomo' is alive and well and was at the Society's reunion last month, along with several other members of staff from the 70's. August 2000 HEEELP :) Can anyone tell me how I get ahold of the school records? I am looking in particular how to get copies of my O levels etc. Living in the States now and don't know WHERE to start....does BFES have a site......? Any help would be appreciated. Luv, Kaz Karen Thomson (H 81-83) karenanne41@hotmail.com BFES is no more and it's successor's website, SCE (Service Children's Education) has been down for some time. SCE is based in Wegberg however you may be better off asking the university examination board that set your O level papers. Does anyone know which that would have been in 1983? DP. |

August 2000 The examining board at Windsor for the latter years was the University of London. WBS Centre number in 1982 was 65590. CSE examinations board was the Southern Regional Examination Board. I hope this helps. I'm also curious regarding the other e-mail address moandsnooks. What's the reason, just curiosity for obvious reasons. By the way great reunion though a great shame there wasn't that many from the later years there, come on 79-82 people. Mike Snook (B 79-82) mike@channelzero.f9.co.uk |

August 2000 My thanks to Mike Snook and to Tony Overd who e-mailed the examining board as being the University of London. After further investigation I discovered that the University of London Examinations and Assessment Council merged with BTEC in 1996 and is now the EDXCEL Foundation whose URL is www.edexcel.org.uk - and seems to be the place to where records of exam results may be kept. August 2000 I didn't actually attend Windsor School - I found this page whilst looking for spare parts for a landrover! However, my uncle Paul Gysin was headmaster of Windsor Boys between c78-82. My cousin Vic attended the school and I assume that Jane and Emma attended the girl's school. I spent 4 out of 5 summers in Hamm and still have fond memories of the place. If anyone wants to get in touch with the Gysins, I'll be happy to pass messages on. Cheers, Richard Brand oodl@compuserve.com |
