Many ex-pupils who visit our web site have yet to join the society. It costs just £8 to join and you'll receive a pack containing all fifteen newsletters, Concordia magazine plus a list of members with contact details.
Complete the form on the 'How to Join' page and you'll receive an information pack plus a booking form for the reunion on 24 June - there's never been a better time to join the Windsor Society.

David is quite right, the information, newsletters and Concordia magazine sent to you on joining the society are well worth it. I enjoyed reading everything about the old school and the people in it. Names I'd forgotten conjured up faces and memories of a distant past but I loved every minute of it. Not long to the re-union, hope to see lots of faces long forgotten but not many people from the sixties seem to place letters on the site - where are you all?

Hello to everyone from the early seventies era. There do not appear to be very many messages from that time.Maybe it's a touch of techno-phobia or could it be just a lot of early senility creeping in!!
I saw the the message from Geezer Butler and remember well the HMS Pinafore performances since I played the sailor who spent half the play wandering around the stage dressed only in a red and white striped Victorian swimming costume while talking to a pet tin lobster! (my senility started very early!!)
Some may also remember my fine performance(!) as Mrs Lovett the pie maker in the previous years production of Sweeny Todd .I am happy to say that I no longer wear womens clothes.
On a serious note does anybody know the whereabouts of Peter Jones who was a day patient during the early seventies? I last saw him in 1975 when he was living in Holywell in North Wales. It would be great to here from anyone who remembers me or my brothers Roy and Alan who were at Hamm at the same time, Hopefully we will be able to make the re-union and meet up with some old friends.

Hello, I managed to access the site a couple of months ago, but this is the first time Iam able to contribute to the"book", was a scruffy little boy attending my first boarding school back then, Mr Flowers was our housemaster and Mr Aspinall was the headmaster. I was a member of the church choir and definitely NOT a cherubic choirboy! I can remember a girl also in the choir; Patricia Pringle, are you out there? I remember that Richard Lishman was captain of the school football team. Also remember Michael Penn( a really natural and gifted artist). It is really fascinating to read all about the school and its past pupils, all the very best to everyone past and present.

I've been meaning to post a message since finding the site some time ago. My time at Windsor can hardly be described as lengthy in comparison to most, however, it was long enough to garner some very fond memories. My brother Alan was also a member of Caernarvon from 65 to 67. I left to join the Army in 66 and have subsequently enjoyed a thoroughly rewarding career. If there is anyone who remembers me or Alan from WBS or, indeed, RAF Geilenkirchen, do drop me a line.

A call to all those 40-somethings who were in their 5/6/7th years in '77 & '78. There is a hardcore of your
ex-colleagues who have made it a matter of honour to be the last to leave the hotel bar at each of the previous reunions. Yes, I AM talking about Shippo, Chris Bowyer, Glen Muddle, Ron Ferguson, Nelly Fraser etc. I thought it might be a good idea this time to be the FIRST to the hotel bar (Hilton) at about 15:30, for a quick
re-aquaintance before moving on to the reunion proper. New members of the "It's just like being back at the MB again" society welcome, eg Steve Mayne, Walex Robinson, Nick Meyers et al. Senior Citizens (Geezer, Smut, the other big irish bloke) also welcome. We'd love to hear what it was like during the war .....

Have just browsed the site for the first time and seen many familiar names. Coincidentally, a couple of weeks ago I came across my Priv Card - complete with permissable watering holes listed on the back - as well as a well autographed hymn book and a cartoon penned by Mouse (WBS Edinburgh and a good friend of my husband Paul). E-mail david@windsorsociety.freeserve.co.uk
for a booking form and it'll be e-mailed back to you. I'll also give you a fax number to send it to and provided we have your form in advance, you can pay on the day.
We need your details in advance so that we can prepare your ID badge, add your name to the list of members attending, and ensure you receive your commemorative gift.
See you on Saturday - don't miss it!!!

Hi I didn't attend Windsor Schools but I am wondering whether my Parents did. Their families were based at RAF Rheindahlen and the two people I am looking for are Lynn N Browne and Philip H Haughton they were 16 / 17 respectively in 1968 so they may have attended in the 60's. Could you ask around for me and see if anybody remembers them please.

Thanks to you, who have send e-mails to me, Iwill answer soon. At the moment Iam very busy with my 4 legged kids, going to shows. I have 5 poodles all black like Robby was.
I do hope that you all have a nice day at the reunion today. I am thinking of you. Don`t drink and smoke too much, keep your hotel rooms tidy or I shall strip your beds and empty your drawers. I read the membership list and saw most of your faces in front of me, young and unwrinkled, ha ha!
I would have loved seeing you all again, whenever you come to Hamm pop in to see me, have a good meal and I`ll show you round the old places.
God bless, lots of love.

Visit the 'Reunion Cam' page at least once an hour during the weekend to see what's happening.

Ticket holder no 0345 Karen Riach (as was) sitting at home ere in Devon nowhere near Newbury - skint after returning from holiday last weekend and suffering from knackered old car syndrome - thinking about it now I could've just attempted the drive and got the nice man from the AA to get me to the venue, I always was good at coming up with winning ideas just a bit too late for them to be of any use!
Anyway it looks like you're all having a good time - if Jackie Emery is there I've been meaning to ring you for ages and will do soon - Oh and a message to Nina Ball if she's there - you could have mentioned in '93 that I looked flush with expectancy, I was shocked to find two weeks after that do that I was three months pregnant - call yourself a midwife!! (I'm now the proud mother of an almost 18 year old daughter and 6 year old suprise called Joe - bless him). And if the Scribbo's are there - sorry I'm not. Hi to everyone from St James and everyone who knew me - this is sounding a bit like one of those Berlin link ups on BFBS during the school hols - 'ello all you wiggles and wobbles!

Hello  Everyone,   Have been looking in and catching up the with the photos - brings back many happy memories of the last re-union!   Dave you're doing a great job and must be difficult (too many people to catch-up with etc) but  where are all the "younger crowd" from my era ??     Had a nice bottle of Verdelho to toast you all with last night but a mug of tea is more appropriate at this time of the morning (04.00).   I'll keep checking in, please see if you can cover Alec Pratt, Jon Marshall & Tony Williams as the are quite likely to be together at the same table.   Give my regards to Rev Fielding if you bump into him again!
Best wishes to all.

The pic's look great and everyone is enjoying themselves. I do'nt recognise anyone from my time in the 5th & 6th form (69-71ish), but it has been thirty years.  If anybody remembers me I say hello. If any of the following people are there I say a special hello . Oh, remember our final attempt at English O level, get out early and then straight into town for the beer festival, only to meet Mr Dudley on route, great teacher , I can't remember but did he give us a lift in his red BMW?  --  Ron Quirk & Steve Radcliffe, ( lost any hair yet lads?) I could go on but my beepers just gone off so I must dash, Quickly though some more names, Steve Walker , Paul Williams, Terry Mcgivon, Phil Bull, Mr Birdsill, Christine Gabriel, Liz Mcleer? better rush , have a great time ..

Kia Ora (Greetings) from New Zealand   Kiwisoo calling in !!  (previously know as Soo Holloway - Hillsboro 6th and 7th Form '78 and 79)   The Live Webcam is great !!  And from what I see happening in the photos it looks like the organisation that has gone into the event is terrific too. Congratulations to the 'movers and shakers'.  I really wish I was there.   I'm sitting with my first coffee of the morn, (sorry guys, can't manage the champers at this hour) blearily focussing on the pics..can't see anyone I recognise yet....of course I look just the same as I did in '79...(XX)  Actually that's not true, the kilo's fell off once I was removed from the temptation of Mr Dunns cream bun morning teas!!*$!!   It's really great when the jokers in the photo are holding up a name....the self captioning portraits.  We kiwis are famous (and infamous) for our "rounding up the sheep" abilities.......(no lewd comments please.....it's only the Aussies who do that !!). Can the photographer please round up.......   Martina Olly Christine O'Toole Debbie Wiles Lesley Gordon Mel Austin Ian and Linda Grey Scott Ferguson and Carol Buchanon David and Sian Jones John Garnett Denis Fletcher and Scott Meyers Kev (I don't reply to emails) Hopkins Chris Cox (saw that you had recently joined..sorry no contact yet !!)   And anyone else from that era (6th and 7th Form 1978/79) who may remember me (or each other !!)   I realise this is probably going to require a lot of cajouling..thought your alcohol level might be sufficient to attempt the impossible by now .......would really appreciate it tho.  Even just a few of them would be great!! I'll apologise in advance if there are any Scottish Rugby fans in that lot !   I'll check in on the live webcam later in the day........   Message for Martina.  Hope the Indonesian diving was cracker.  Did you hear about the breakup of Team New Zealand.....half the team has been lured overseas to join other teams.  (Money is such a crass commodity !!)  We've got a strong team coming through...headed by Petes cousins hubby..Tom Schnackenburg.  (Tenuous connection I know..but we'll be at their place today while you lot are boogieing the night away...hope you remember your Grease steps !!)  I'll check in on Toms computer later to see !!   Hope you all are having as good a time as it looks like you are......and hope none of my English teachers attempt to read that sentence..(I'm making a resonable living out of writing..honest !!)   WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE ????  I'M STARTING MY UK TRIP FUND NOW !!!   Much love to all you brats.  And congratualtions to the organisers.
Love Soo.

Anyone out there remember my sister Jill, my brother-in- law Alan Gravener or myself, it would be great to hear from you. All three of us attended the initial reunion in 1993 but were, unfortunately, unable to attend the others. I also admit, to my shame, that I have allowed my membership to lapse (this will soon be rectified!).

Have a great time everyone - send me an e-mail or letter if you remember me. I love to get back in touch. To Alison Osborne (Whiting) - wish I could be at Newbury for a face to face chat instead of just corresponding! Oh yes, and if Neil Barclay has made it there - its about time you wrote me again!
All the best .

I really enjoyed the reunion. As before I have returned home to the family with a warm feeling about all those friends from long ago that it was simply great to see again. This time I even made some new friendships, easy when you have such an experience in common.

Hello to anyone recognising the name. I used to hang around with Spook (Malc. Mcgookin) and Kev. Newman. Spook I met some years ago prior to him Emigrating and stayed with him and Alison in Manchester. I lived in Berlin after School working with a German painting and decorating firm and Steve Dobson came out and stayed for awhile. Reply eh?

Hello everyone, - and special greetings to anyone from the mid-late fifties, we seem to be quite rare. I was in Sandringham from 55 to 58 and remember David Benfield very well as reigning housemaster, ably assisted by "Ned" Kelly et al. Recollected student names include Brian (Howie) Howson, Scotty, and Nigel Frith.
Anyone from way back there and then remember me?
This site has certainly brought back many great memories.
Yes, now I remember Maybugs! Also learning how to reassemble a fully dismantled bed (including springs and ends) in total silence and darkness after lights out, - it sometimes didn't pay to visit the bathroom :-)
Dave P. -This is one great site you've put together, congratulations! My dues should have reached Chris in Phoenix by now, and I'm really looking forward to the info package and hopefully finding some old friends. Only wish I could have made the re-union, -maybe next time. Best Regards to all, John

Had a great time at the reunion. Jeff Bullen where were you? I flashed around a pic of a tall, dark & handsome young man but couldn't find you, despite the message put out by Sandie Ford. Helen Rose, if you read this, yes I'd like to meet up with you some time. When I've learnt a bit more I'll get an e-mail address sorted. My phone no etc. is in the membership list. Pete Whiddington thanks for bailing me out & making the rest of the evening interesting. Love to hear from you again.

For those of you who did not attend the WS Millenium Reunion because they were worried that they would know no-one there, or that they cannot really "remember" anyone I would say DO IT - put in an e-mail, attend any functions going. I was in that situation last W/E and had a great time and met some super new people (thanks Nicky & Nick et al).
I did not see anyone I attended WGS with - or so I thought! Since then I have been put in comtact with about 7 ex-inmates!! Service children (Scale-E brats!) often have disjointed memories of childhood and by attending such reunions one can regain and spark memories. It certainly is happening to me and it is such a joy to rediscover neigh-forgotten memories.
Many thanks again to all the committee (official AND unofficial!) for such a splendid 'DO'.

Hi, Y'all, Sorry I missed the reunion, but for some reason BA just wouldn't sponsor my flight from Texas. Any one remember any of the following? Angie Dunmall, Sharon(Shaz) Robinson, Debbie Goulden, Andie with waist length dark hair, the tall American twins ?
Were you in Berlin? Remember the train at 5.30 am? Ped lock, Phil Hooper, are you still on this planet? Not that you ever were in the first place.
Tomo, I know you're out there. Are you on the net? Does anyone share my memory of the trip to Amsterdam, where our teachers took us in to see "Hair", thinking it was a regular new musical?
Love to hear from anyone from the early 70's.

Yes it was great wasn't it? My first time. I was the bloke who "looked like the singer in Status Quo" and turned up with Mike 'Big Yin' Price. Good to see everyone, Sheryl and Jackie Blackmore, Caernarvonites: Barrie Gibson and his wife Deb, Paddy (jnr) Hawkins, Devs, Pete Whiddington, Kev Morgan, Ron Ferguson, Woody, Geezer and too many to mention.I even managed to come away without a prefects detension! The Ladies are still lovely. I did however after 23 years, once again share a room with Mike Price. His snoring has not improved with age, the wedding is now off! Love to hear from anyone. See you all at the next one.

Just discovered this website and can't believe it. Found the messages and have enjoyed reading everyone's comments and memories. Haven't found any familiar names except mention of Mr Purvis, music teacher who I remember well. Also a production of Pirates of Penzance. Whilst I was there I think Miss Beckworth (Becky) was housemistress and a German lady called Frau Bellafeld? Would love to see some messages from anyone who remembers me. My nickname was 'Podge' and I shared a dorm with Michelle Walker (her sister Deanne was Head of House I think) Stella Hall, Susan Parker, Jane Foy. Great memories.Visited the WGS site in 1996.... happy days....

Sitting here swigging a Becks and thanking heaven I've matured..or at least grown into the school jacket. Keep sending anyone who notices me...it confirms I didn't dream the experience and was there ...
