October 2000 My apologies for the problems that have plagued the site, especially the Visitors' Book, during the past couple of weeks. These have been resolved and all those messages that should have appeared at the end of September are now on that month's page. DP. |

October 2000 Just found this site quite recently on one of the links from Britbrats. I was a reluctant first former when I started @ WGS but on leaving @ the end of that year - I didn't want to go! Memories of apple pie beds, tuck boxes, hospital corners & hide 'n' seek on the outside of the 3rd floor dorm window ledge! The list is endless! I've found Sara Clarke from my dorm - is Sarah Parrot out there anywhere? Also twins Dawn & Debbie (sorry, can't remember your surnames) who were 3rd formers at that time & my adopted 'aunties'. Sara mentioned Liz Smith, Lyn Fitzpatrick & Diedre ?. Lyn's name is familiar. Anyone else out there that may remember me, I'd love to hear from you. I seem to have started a little buzz with the question about the 1066 picture, which is good. Keep it coming and lets see if some more names can be put forward. (DP. Didn't Dave Naylor get his nick name from a character in the Beano who had some similar features as Dave did.) Cheers. John Fisher (H 65-68) Cathedral.Print@tesco.net

October 2000 By far the best way of finding old friends is to join the Windsor Society, now in touch with around 2000 former students and staff. Susbcribing members receive a list of members' names, addresses and phone numbers, a collection of newsletters, a 36 page 'Concordia' magazine and information about reunions and events. Visit the 'How to Join' page and send your details for a membership pack. DP

October 2000 Hi there! I have a new e:mail address, I have also put together a web site of my very own, which fulfils several functions - I hope to use it to keep my family informed about family-type newsy things as most of them live a long way away; it also covers local history for the part of Yorkshire where I live, and a bit on the local coal industry. And yes, folks! a couple of photos from Windsor! See you at the next reunion? Pamela Ross (St.J 63-68) Pamela.Y.Ross@btinternet.com |
