September 2001 Chris Agness, remember you well, Jono and Webby also. Think we joined similar clubs for the same reasons (great minds and all that). Think I remember your trick with the booze - in the 3rd yr - learn young eh! Thought you might be at the reunion, there were a few from Bal/Berlin of our era and as Im hopeless with names it was great to see old faces. Respect for the mountain rescue bit I go up the hills myself, but dont know if I could do that. Remember writing those letters every day and now I cant remember the last time I wrote, even before going online. Good to see your name again Chris. Big Hello to all that remember me. September 2001 Wow - what a nostalgia trip. As I've browsed the names keep flooding back. Would particularly love to hear from Pat Dempsey and Barbara Yeo. I still remember sharing a dorm with them. Also around at that time were Trixie Alberga, Helen Gay, Sheila Pennington, Susan Thomas and Julie Davis. I seem to remember there were occasionally some lads around too. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me! My bruff, Kevin, was in Caernarvon until 76. Sandra Gidley (Rawson) (B 71-75) sandra.gidley@ntlworld.com |

September 2001 I have just sent off for the membership pack but after scanning through these messages I thought I'd leave one too.I managed to complete my O Level studies there, after a first year in Kings School, Gutersloh, second year in a girls' grammar school in Shropshire, and my third year in King Richard School, Dekelia (Cyprus). I haven't seen any names I recognise, but I'm hopeless with names anyway. Does anyone remember our Housemistress, Miss Mallon? Carol(Carrots) Dunn? Ally Haw? It would be great to hear from anyone at Windsor at the same time. Geraldine (Deana) Herdman-Grant (H 67-69) ga.herdman-grant@portoraroyal.co.uk |

September 2001 found site thru friends reunited - feel a bit odd about posting - remember very few names - Norma Cousins taught me to love english and angie walker was my friend. was in 3rd and 4th year then went to Goucester school. Remember having to go to chapel - the nasty maroon uniform, matron and the bathroom and a swimming pool (very very cold) My sister michelle was there too - but younger - she remembers kim fletcher there were boys and we could meet and hold hands on Kur park - there were also disco things and i vaguely remember there being an annual ball - but boys never did hold much attraction for me. there was an r.e. teacher mr cooling it was a big treat to go home at the weekend with a daygirl- specially if she was from the US I have a year book somewhere i recall being fed a lot and frequently and getting quite round and i hated p.e. anyone remember the same things? September 2001 Wow! after coming across this site and actually finding my old school i just couldnt resist putting an entry on here. As a former (Day-Boy) as the borders would call us I had to join the many boys and girls waiting outside Soest Naffi for the buses to take us on the 20+km trek to Hamm. Bags the back seat..... Those were the days. If anyone can remember me (doggy) former SPL in 1st Soest Scouts or also remembers John my brother (Puppy) get in touch....lets re-live those glorious old days..oh! Boy!..... September 2001 Hi, I have just found this great site with the help of my brother-in-law. i was in Balmoral Hse and remember the great and not so great times i had there. I am not one for remembering names and houses people were in, so here goes, Matron Dilla,Matron Di Silva,Danny Lovejoy,Steve Cronan,Philip(Biffo)Grifiths,John Dudley(House Master),Mr Carey(Teacher), thats just a few, but not forgetting Steve Hollis, who i remember getting very drunk on Pernod one night round his mums in Osnabruck. September 2001 It's not gone - it's somewhere else! The Windsor Club is an independent site that is not run by the Windsor Society and so the button on the Index Page has been removed. However, you can still link directly to the Windsor Club (and many other Windsor-related sites) by simply clicking the Windsor Links Button Doug P

September 2001 WHY have you gone to the physical effort of removing the link to the Windsor club. Please explain to me why this was done. So the club is independent and not run by the society, well so what. If it was thought worthy of having a link in the first place then why remove it now. Do you not like the idea of a live forum with a membership of over 400. What is it that you fear so much ? Andy Lindley (S76-78) frotler@yahoo.co.uk I repeat, we have NOT removed the link to the Windsor Club - it is on the Windsor Links page.(see my comments 23 September) The Windsor Links page has links to many independently run windsor-related sites (of which the Windsor Club forum is one) in one place - where they logically belong .Doug P |

Took a look at one of the Windsor clubs and found that very interesting as well....take a look if you want to find some more friends.. its www.exwindsorbfpo. (click on the Windsor Links Button - Doug P) Would love to hear from anybody that remembers either myself or my brother Linden. I was head of house for Hillsborough in 1979, and was best of buddies with Ian "Abbo" Aberdeen, John Grimes. Anyone with information on these two, or the sister of John Grimes (Jacqui), I would dearly love to contact them. I wait to hear from old friends. Tony Parslow (H77-79) parfour@cytanet.com.cy |

September 2001 Just browsing on a wet Sunday, to find Aidan Tasker's message. He probably won't remember me as I am much younger (a mere 55)! I do remember him and Kevin Goad, Mike Evans and Trevor.... and many more. There does seem to be shortage of people from Marlborough in the year and half I was there. I concur with Aidan, what a great school, certainly the best of the nine I went to and the most memorable. Does anyone remember Leslie Alexander from WGS Marlborough? We need more people from 59/60 please! David Lister (M59-60) d.lister@edmont.co.uk |

September 2001 Hi everyone. Reading some of your e-mails has made me really sentimental. I often think back to the days as a Boarder in Hamm. As one of the few Yanks there I had many trials and tribulations. The three short years a spent at WBS are still etched in my memory. Back pitch fights, legend of pegleg, Mr. Firth's vicious slipper (alleged!), etc... Most are fond memories, though. Anyone that remembers me, pls write me a line, I'd love to hear from you. My buddies: Dave Pearson, Billy Graves, Gordon Tough are you out there? Cliff Mueller (C 75-77) crmueller@hotmail.com |
