Hi Scott, Sara has
the full list of everybody who is going to York. Its nothing on the
scale of full reunions, but we intend to have a great time. The invitation
is open to all teachers, and Mr Hern would be most welcome - as long
as you dont test me on any maths stuff sir!!! The more the merrier,
so sign up and come along. Looking forward to meeting you Bill. Scott,
I've lost your number, please give me a call! Hope things are ok with
you and Denise? Be great to buy you a pint in York!

Well it appears
it is all coming together in York, such a great central location, and
it seems since the first time i chose and spoke to hotel, things have
really moved on. Thanks go to sara especially for taking lead and cecelia
for starting and julie roberts for helping out too. So if you havnt
listed yourselves yet nows the chance to do so.....i always find reunions
a good laff but strange in a way coz you remember each other as 16 or
17 year olds but meet up as 40 something imaginng we are all the same
people, when in fact there is so much water under the bridge..spose
catching up is the fun part? Looking forward to seeing al there. cheers
for now Chris

I have just read
a mail from my old mate Rob Walker who I first met at RAF Larbruck when
we were about 13yrs old (save you doing the maths - appx 40 yrs ago!).
What a wonderful surprise to find you on the net after all these years.
Have you heard from any of the gang? I noticed you were enquiring about
Lindsey Naylor - have you heard from him or any of the others? Send
me a mail, I would love to hear from you.

Just want to say
Hi to all who may know or remenber me.Chris Im sorry I deleted your
mail before even getting around to reading it.Please mail me again.
I was in Hamm today with my son and decided to visit WBS.Shock horror,
to my dismay I found out that the town of Hamm sold the land and privateinvestors
have now started demolishing WBS. The cinema assembly hall and parts
of the main building and Arts dept have gone.I made a few pics but cannt
load them up if anyone is interested. WGS is still in good nick though.
End of an epoch!!!!! Sorry I brought bad news

It is with a heavy
heart that I have to report the partial demolition of WBS MT Block and
the Main Assembly Hall.
Ex-inmates of a
sensitive nature don't need to look at the pics shown on this site.

Hi i was just looking
at the wed site and was thinking about the 1st 15 Rugby team. There
used to be a visiting team that came across from the UK that we played
- but i have forgotten the name of the team. One of the Balmoral lads
went there after WBS ? Walsh. Can anyone put some more meat on these
bones?

Hi from an 'oldie'
(1954 - 1958) not many of us around!! Have looked through site: thinking
of joining - does anyone remember me?Stumbled across this site whilst
doing some research. Recognized a few names and faces (from the photographs),
Dave Hodgson, Brian Bethnal, Derek Neale and Jehanghar Khan to name
a few. Brought back some fantastic memories of the old place.

I noticed a posting
from Ralph Snape I do remember your name a year or two above me.I remember
playing football in the gym with you when you broke your ankle.there
are not many postings from the 60's memories are getting fainter but
some good times were had especially going over the wall to the pub down
the road.

Hi Ralph I remember
you from 'good old windsor days', do you remember me? My brother was
Ian Pulford and was in the Balmoral too, sadly he passed away at the
end of last year. Before he died he was very active on this site and
he also sent me some photos, one of which included a photo of you it
was the Balmoral soccer team. Hope life has been good to you.

Hello Maureen, Please
accept my sincere condolences on Ian’s passing. It is finding
out such sad news that makes me regret that I did not find this site
sooner and therefore missed the opportunity remember the good (and bad)
times with former school friends. The grey matter is not what it used
to be but I do remember Ian. Sadly, and it is my loss, I cannot yet
place you Maureen but give it time. I would be interested in the Balmoral
soccer team photograph if you have a scanned copy. Thanks for asking,
life has brought its great rewards but with some desperately sad times.
Nevertheless I hope, even with Ian’s passing, life has treated
you well since the heady days at WBS & WGS.

SYDNEY AUSTRALIA
REUNION 2009 - *SEPTEMBER
A reminder for those who read the earlier post 15 Feb 2009 & for
those who are reading for the first time
The proposed Sydney Reunion 2009 is now underway, we are now 8 - 10
ex Windsors working toward a gathering in *September 2009, the venue
suggested is The Vibe Hotel - North Sydney location www.vibehotels.com.au
Suggested September 11 - 13 ( Friday afternoon check in - Sunday
Check out) for those of you who are travelling in from interstate
or overseas and might like to take in the wonderful sights or playground
that Sydney has to offer......from Cultural pursuits, taking in the
Arts, Night Sail on the Harbour in a large yacht is magical or even
Hells Angels bike ride around Bondi Beach for those who need a bigger
buzz !
For those not familiar with Sydney, this venue (Vibe) is extremely
well located for most of what Sydney has to offer, it's only 15 mins
from Sydney Airport, trains, buses within minutes from the door, and
for those who love to be on foot -
some very pretty
walks to be had http://www.northsydney.nsw.gov.au/www/html/2267-cremorne-point-foreshore-walk.asp
or North Sydney
Olympic pool for the water babies http://www.northsydney.nsw.gov.au/www/html/2148-about-the-olympic-pool.asp
To make this happen I need your commitment / feed back in order to
arrange / speak to the hotel re bookings etc - alternatively you may
prefer to stay in accomodation of your own choice. From previous feedback
regarding the success of a reunion, being under one roof is more convenient
and cohesive I am assured
Look forward & need to hear from anyone else who might be thinking
about attending , I will be only too happy to answer any questions
or suggestions - I am Sydney based and know the place quite well.....so
have factored in convenience, safety and overall costs
Pam Fielding (Ella ) (C62-64)
* actual date to be confirmed
Great
idea Ella - come on you Antipodeans - get this going and I may put
in a personal appearance - Bill C

Hi Marita, Nice
to hear from you, I have often wondered how you are and thought you
would be in Canada, I remember your Dad was Canadian and your Mum like
mine German. I never forget when your Mum's chihuahua escaped from her
coat and ran around the assembly hall on our cinema night, and had trouble
catching it. I met Lorna and also Kathy O'Shea and a few others on one
of the reunions. My brother Pat saw your message, I am a lapsed member.
I live in Berkshire, and have done for 34 years. Hope to hear from you
again. Regards Mary Docherty

Hi Pam, sorry I
did not reply to your previous 'post' it was a bit too soon after losing
Ian. Sorry to say I will not be able to make the dates of the 'oz' reunion
as my daughter has decided to get married on 12 September. I know Ian
was really looking forward to this reunion, so I hope it all goes as
planned and that my thoughts will be with all the those who are able
to make it.

19 Apr 2009
Hi Ralph, will endeavour
to get you a scanned photo of the soccer team, my computer 'crashed'
just after I sent you the message, but I know Ian's wife has a copy
of the photo. Thank you for your kind words about Ian, we all still
miss him and always will. Life has treated me very well, my family emigrated
to Australia in 1968 where I married an 'aussie' and we had three wonderful
children and they have given us two beautiful grandsons. Will keep in
touch.

Am absolutly amazed
at the amount of people who havn't discovered the windsor web site!Have
discovered this through Facebook, and am only a beginner on the Web!!
Should we be doing more to promote the Windsor web Site? Through Facebook,i
discovered an ex windsorite, who i have known, through, my husband since
1996! Bizarre coinsidence! (and very freaky) Should we be promoting
the windsor site on a wider scale? I Know it's a vast job, but there
are thousands of us out there! Any suggestions?

Can you believe
this??!! Talk about the Power of The Mind eh?! It was just yesterday
(20th) I was thinking about you Ruby "Charlie" Adams as well
as Cosmo and the whole 70's Cru, and like Jim "BonnieBeanBoy"
Alger, got what I thought could've been your email addresses I'd sent
a pic of Jim & his posse, but never heard back, so I guess that
particular email wasn't operational anymore. I guess too that it also
serves me right for doing the shortcut - lol!! Something told me to
go on the site today after such a long absence and there you were, with
fantastic news re: my best friend Cosmo!! Supa Sleuth! How did you do
it? Many many thanx Charlie, that has truly made my day! Having, trawled
the WorldWideWobble for an eternity, the only person featured with her
name, was a dance teacher in Hertfordshire - and she didn't look like
my pal either - >groan<!! Charlie & Cosmo, we must try and
organize a meetup in the very near future - and Cosmo, if you are reading
this, I have a confession to make which can and will be swiftly rectified
- >ulp!< Message to Bill C: I've got a new-fangled scanner printer
business, and had promised to send pix to the main site. This I will
now do in earnest, as well as sort out some kind of membership too.
And to everyone who remembers me. Big Love to you all! I hope that it's
all happening in your world!! Well done again for keeping this fantastic
site alive and kicking, as without your dedication and commitment, it
would have been almost impossible for such a great and positive situation
to emerge... Peace Love & Much Blessings

Hi Ray, It is good
to hear from someone who I remember from Balmoral House. We were also
in the house Cricket team; in fact there is a very good photo of us
all on “The on-line Windsor Club” web site. From what I
remember, going over the wall to the Pub was secondary I think WGS took
priority.

Hi Mareen, PCs are
pestkey things when they misbehave. I have spent a couple of years in
Oz working for the Australian Defense Force in Canberra and Williamtown
and try and get back as often as I can to visit with friends. Unfortunately,
I don’t think I will be able to find time to be in Oz for the
forthcoming reunion, which is a great shame. Regards and best wishes

Hello Paul, I do
remember meeting you on the bus in Aldershot, as far as I can work out
it was 1965. It wasn't the army but the merchant navy I had just joined.
I was at sea for 10 years then I met an aussie girl on a cruise out
of Sydney and the rest is history as they say. Have you come across
anybody I might know over the years?

I would like to
say a massive thankyou to all those ex pupils and members of staff who
so generously sponsored me for my London marathon attempt this year.
i ran this race last Sunday in memory of my Mum, Margaret Kitchen and
Dad Peter and am delighted to say that I will have raised over £3000
once I have collected all my sponsorship money in. This is for the Alzheimers
Society- a very worthy cause for those of you who have had loved ones
affected by this devaststing illness. I am also pleased to say that
I surpassed my wildest imagination and actually ran the whole race,
finishing in 5 hours and 2 minutes! If anyone fancies joining me next
year then please log on and get signed in!!!It is an amazing experience
and an occasion not to be missed! Thankyou again to all who sponsored
me.
