Well this site started
in Dec 1998 so we have been going for 11 years now ! Wishing everyone
a Happy New Year. Don't forget that if you are a paid up member of the
Windsor Society you can have your email address passed on to anyone
posting on here and also you will have access to the Windsor
Society Forum where you will be able to post messages and photos
and arrange meets/reunions yourself.

I am German and
I have never been a student at your school. But I would like to ask
you for some help to find a girl who was a student at your school in
the early 70ies. I was at Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium in Osnabrück
and this girl stayed at my home for one week in 1971 (?). Her name was
Karen Bryan and her home-town was Wolverhampton. I would be very glad
if you could help me to contact her. Yours sincerely,

Hi. Have just read
back a few months and saw the letter about the flood in 1960. I remember
this very well because I lived in the Boys' school while attending the
Girls' school. My sister Joanna was only 6 months old when the floods
occurred and as the boiler room had to be shut down getting baby stuff
dried was very hard. The boys were sent home early but their compatriots
at the Girls' school were not. I was sent to school in one of the large
(3 ton? seems a bit heavy) trucks and had to negotiate the floods. Great
fun. I don't remember my brother Paul coming with me to the Girls' school
though.I think that we had a big freeze after the floods because I can
remember getting a pair of ice skates and skating on the field outside
the field behind the church. Sounds dangerous to look back on now. Health
and safety would not permit. I'm not a member at the moment but always
look back fondly of my time in Hamm with my father Harry and my mother
Jean(both now sadly 'passed away'). Have just enjoyed a super holiday
in Switzerland with my brother Paul and his family. He lives over there
permanently. A very Happy New Year to all those who remember me.

Well I am absolutely
gutted. I currently live in Albany on the south coast of Western Australia.
In June 2008 I received an email from Ian Pulford via Friends Reunited
with a link to this web site which I immediately checked out. It gave
me goose-bumps. He asked if I would be interested in an AUS reunion
of which I said yes. I then received a couple more emails the following
month, then nothing. I relocated to a rural area just after and was
unable to connect the internet at home. I still had access to my emails
at work but 80% of sites were blocked, therefore I couldn’t get
online to either FR or here. 2 weeks ago I moved back into ‘town’,
back online and yesterday visited from 18 months ago forward. I am so
sorry to hear that Ian passed away, hence the no contact. I even saved
his emails so that I had the info. I was very pleased to hear that the
Sydney re-union eventuated but I am devastated that I missed out by
4 months. From what I was reading, it all seemed to go like clockwork
and a good time was had by all. The group is getting bigger so you will
have to count me in for the next one. I am not sure if there are any
others connections here in WA. I plan on registering membership, to
avoid this happening again. On saying that, I do go back to the UK to
visit as all my family are over there, I can always gatecrash a re-union.
I would love to go back to Hamm also and re-trace steps. I even dug
out the old black and whites last night, not just of WGS but going back
to early days from Malaya onwards, hence very little sleep. It’s
amazing how it makes you feel. Those 3 years had a big impact on my
life, (early teens). I did notice a few names that I remember but as
to whether anyone remembers me, my sister Lynda or my friend Margaret
Docherty, for the good or the bad, remains to be seen. Although we live
on opposite sides of the country now we are still very much in touch.
The two of us emigrated together in ‘72 on a big adventure at
the cost of 10 pound, and still here to this day. So for anyone that
does remember me, say hi. Best wishes for 2010.

Hi Linda Gant, not
sure if you remember me but our families were friends and I was very
friendly with your brother Tony. Have been trying to find him for a
while now, as you can guess no luck. I am now living in Singapore and
have been for the last year. Bill has my e-mail if you would like to
get in contact. you may need to ask him nicely for it. HAPPY NEW YEAR
TO ALL

Ladies, Gents, There
are a number of ex Windsors on FaceBook. A few of us have been talking
to each other with referance to a Reunion. So initially I am trying
to find out who would be interested in attending. The proposed venue
and dates would be the 18th-20th June 2010 in Weymouth. Nothing is booked
as yet as we would first need the numbers. I would like to book a function
room for the purpose of a meal and entertainment for the 19th June 2010
as to keep us all together. Weymouth has plenty of facilities / accomodation
so there should not be any problems. So if you are interested you can
ask Bill C for my email and let me know.

Hi I used to attend
Windsor school, I was in Sandringham House and when I first went the
school was mixed. I attended in 1956, gosh that was a long time ago.
If I remember the head girl in our house was Barbara, I will have to
check out the attic and see if I can find some old photos. I remember
I was never too keen on maths and the teacher's name was Miss Darymple
(think that is the correct spelling), she was Scots. My name is Patricia
Harte, my maiden name was Beckwith. I am enjoying checking out the website.
